Very poor experience on Saturday! A large group of my family went for a meal in the Villager to remember my granny who has been deceased one year. We had to order the food earlier in the week to make sure that the chef knew what was all needed. The starters all came out fine and they were quite nice, then when the main meals came out there were a few problems. Firstly the pepper sauce for the steaks was burnt and tasted awful, the burgers were very dry and had nothing on them and what topped it off was i had ordered a roast dinner which never came! I don't know how a food order can be placed on a Wednesday and they can still get it wrong. Very disappointed and feel that the owner has let us...
Called in with Geoff Michael and two kids place was busy served at the bar straight away then taken too table. About 5 members of staff on who were lovely talkative attentive and quick. Good menu great service food was out of this world really delicious bill was reasonable. Clean plates all went back. Delighted too see the place picking up again. Thank you
I had a delightful meal at the Villager last night with my son and my parents. I ordered the cod, while my parents enjoyed steaks, and my son had a homemade burger from the kids' menu. Everything was wonderful! For dessert, we indulged in profiteroles, which were absolutely amazing! I can't wait for my next visit!
I had a wonderful dinner last night. The appetizers were delicious, and the main courses were very flavorful. The service was excellent, and the staff was really friendly. Overall, it was a great experience. We will definitely return!

I had a wonderful experience at this friendly pub! My friends and I stopped by yesterday after a fun run, and we were greeted by a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. I will definitely be back! xx

This restaurant used to be fantastic, but it quickly declined under new ownership. Recently, it became a disaster and has now unfortunately closed.
Six of the family went for meal last night and everything we had was delicious. Will be back again soon
