I wasnt going to do any reviews today on my visit to commerce but theres no way I could let this one slide. My boyfriend I dined at the Waffle House on 441S. In Commerce before heading home. We sat, our server asked if we needed menus. We said no ordered what we usually get. Server returned with our food, asked if we were good, we said fine we ate. After we were done, we got our waffles. My boyfriend always orders peanut butter chips he always requests alot . When the waffle came it had about a teaspoon full of chips, maybe 7 small chips. So he asked for some more. The food was good, and the service was excellent. However, I really wish the waitress hadn’t had a political button on her uniform. I still tipped her 80%, as I usually do at Waffle House and other restaurants, because I understand that waitstaff rely heavily on tips. While I appreciate freedom of expression and healthy political competition, I believe that division is not constructive. It would be nice to be able to enjoy a meal without politics being introduced from either side, especially when it feels insulting. Thank you.
This was a very special waffle house because there was a server named Dameon Johnson who went out of his way to treat each customer like family! He always did a great job and I loved tipping him good because he deserved it. He was tragically taken from his family Oct.3rd from gun violence! Another beautiful light put out because of violence! Please stop in and eat and pay tribute to a sweet 19 year old who was taken to soon. Prayers for his family and waffle house as they deal with this huge loss!
4:30 am and waitresses were geeked TF out! At least one of them 100%! There was no hiding it either. Couldn’t stand still, fidgeting gingers, grinding teeth, smacking lips, and talking with lockjaw. If I’d been there with my family it’d pissed me off even more. Food came out pretty good but it wasn’t a pleasant experience sitting there trying to enjoy it. Food: 3 Atmosphere: 1
