Ate here on a Sunday lunchtime, opting for the carvery as I thought it 'd be quick (I had my 2 children with me . Despite ordering before it got busy, my meal took 45 minutes to prepare. They only brought the kids meal out slightly earlier when I asked. When I enquired after my food the staff were apologetic but I was told 'there were a lot of people eating ' (maybe, but I ordered before the vast majority of them and each carvery 'was made fresh '. When it finally arrived the chichen was tough and unappetising, it could have been taken out of the oven sooner and the veg was hit and miss some of the carrots and cauliflower were undercooked. The food at this restaurant is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the prices on Mondays are unbeatable. I have been to this pub several times over the past few weeks at different days and times, and I have never had a bad meal. The chef deserves compliments for the delicious dishes. On "Mad Monday," meals are only £5 each, and I also recommend trying their "Fish Friday" special. You can upgrade to a chippy meal for £6.50, which includes fish and chips, battered sausage, gravy, and bread and butter. The new chef, who has taken over in the last six months or so, has definitely made some improvements. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.
came with a family of 10 people sat in the beer garden (the car park). ordered food asked for it all to come out together, as there was three different orders. To much to ask as they all came out at different times, the 1st lot had finished b4 the 2nd lot arrived and so on.Meals wrong and missing took 45mins to get the childrens meals, they were the last to arrive so everyone had finished before the childrens had arrived.On a good note it was cheap for the beer.
11 of us come and ordered food. The worst food I have ever been served in my life. Ordered loaded fries, raw frozen chips served on blue paper: the cheese then melted and stuck to the paper leaving blue dye on the food. My son refused to eat the chicken nuggets and said they were still frozen in side. Disgusting.

I live close enough to Welly that I could walk there, but it's a bit inconvenient. However, on the way back from town, we decided to stop by today. The drinks are affordable and although we didn't try the food, it looked appetizing and was reasonably priced. I plan on trying some food next time.
Take their licence away, do they even know about covid, never again. , gave it a 2nd chance but they failed miserably, still stick to carpet when walking through, surely if you've got pets in these premises you should keep them away from food and drink, basic hygiene.

This restaurant is terrible. I saw a cat walking out of the kitchen, which speaks volumes. Make sure to wipe your feet on the way out. This establishment is a disgrace.

Mixed grill.. normally £10.95 is only £5.00 on a monday... I haven't seen anyone finish one so far, they are huge!
What a waste of money will never be eating here again like eating an old boot. The food was unbelievably bad.
