This a smallish venue with an almost overwhelming choice of menu options. Some standards/classics but some different/more unusual dishes. Friendly polite and prompt service. Food nicely presented and tasty. We are a group of friends who have regular pub and curry evenings. We'd not tried this place before, all of us enjoyed our meal choices and would go back again. Limited selection of wines. The bill was £40 a head inc tip for pappadoms, shared starters, a main course and shared rice/ve each, cobras and a bottle of wine between 4 of us. We thought it was fair value for money.
My wife and I decided to dine at The Wharf and we were thrilled that we did. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the two specials we selected were flavorful, with just the right amount of spice and at a reasonable price. The wine list was brief but reasonably priced. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience and we plan on returning in the future. Additionally, the nearby parking lots are free after 6:30pm, which is an added bonus.
We visited for dinner tonight. Most of the food was good. The starter and all the main courses came up hot but the sides really weren't hot at all, and we have had better tasting ones before both here, and at other Indian restaurants. Also there only seemed to be one waiter interacting with customers so service could've been more attentive. It wouldn't put me off visiting again, but maybe we would get takeaway next time to guarantee hotness.
A friend recommended this restaurant to us, claiming it was the best Indian food in town, and they were absolutely correct. The menu had a great selection and the food was amazing. The chef even came out to chat with us, showing his passion for his craft. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning soon.
We went for a buffet lunch today with friends . The food was delicious. We usually have take aways and this is the first time we ate in and we were not disappointed. The staff were really friendly ,nothing was to much trouble and the food was cooked fresh . We will definitely visit again for Sunday buffet and would highly recommend you try it
Being relatively new to Godalming we sought recommendations for the best Indian restaurant. The Wharf was highly recommended by those we asked and we can see why. The food is superb and with a number of interesting ‘Chef’s Specials’. The service is friendly and attentive but not overbearing. Highly recommended!
