We have always used The Wheatpieces over the last few years, for personal use as a couple plus more recently as a monthly venue for a works meal out. Food was always great, cheap, cheerful and tasty... suitable for all budgets... HOWEVER we have visited twice in the last two weeks and decided to try steaks and mixed grills ... OMG!!! The food has gone up about a million notches it is phenomenal . Wednesday is grill night, so a 12oz steak and trimmings and a full monty mix grill are only a tenner each!! Best steak I've eaten in the UK .. and I love steak!!
Fantastic staff such an improvement on the last visit, we we’re regulars and the new management are an amazing improvement will definitely be returning thanks mark and molly for a fantastic meal and looking forward to seeing much more of you all in the future. Absolutely superb service! No, I really do mean it, exceptional. The man and lady bringing food to the tables may have only been young but they were working really hard, and the kitchen was pumping the food out. Good quality, great prices. We’ll dome to the whole team.
Me and my partner Jason come in here everyday and it’s changed so much since the new managers have taken over. The pub is clean and they trying to get other things sorted. But what they have done in the last 7 months has been amazing. Well done Mark and Molly.

Local pub which we go to every week Mark and Molly are great and like others have said it’s good to see our local pub busy again. I also ate their recently 15 ounce gammon was great and for under £10 you can’t ask much more !

We had the roast beef Sunday lunch it was absolutely disgusting everything just tasted of salt will never go there again

Stood at the bar and was ignored by the bartender, waited and waited finally walkout. Don’t bother with this place.
Lunch here was fantastic. We had a lovely meal with my husband and parents. Fantastic staff too. Will return!
