one of our random runners brought us to this beautiful pub in a village a few moments from the a10. it has the feeling of an old coaching inn, with low cover (observe their head of every 6' or above,) open fireplace and wood aplenty. there is character and eating. I chose beer battered fish and chips that came with the most glorious potato I had in many a year. the fish was soft and tasteful, the winery a perfect accompaniment. it came from the lunch menu, and both portion and price were perfect. the smokey chicken melted with sweet potato friries and coleslaw was of my better half. they enjoyed their meal, which was also cooked for perfection and the right part for us (up, full to feel, not...
