This is a magical place to go if you need home decor, furniture, or groceries for an event or the weekend! Absolutely loved browsing the gifts and garden items. I took home some decor, a few different prepared salads (the beet salad is phenomenal! , and some gluten free baked goods, as well as other freezer and pantry items. If you’re gluten free, there will be things for you here! Make sure you reserve time to go through the whole building and start with the upstairs if you’re going home with groceries.
Fair prices, friendly-ish service, and not awesome desserts. My hubby was craving Banana Cream pie, but after a few bites he refused to eat it because he said it was terrible. I tried the Cherry Cheese danishes, and couldn 't get past a single bite because they were dry, lacked filling, and tasted old. The Banana Bread was decent, but not worth another trip. It wasn 't moist, the flavour was subpar, and it was more sweet than bananaie (I know that not a word, but you get it.
The Windmill is a local treasure Delicious hot meals, excellent selection of baked goods and cold meats and cheeses. Top notch fresh fruits and veggies, beautiful fresh floral bouquets. Excellent frozen fruits, veggies, soups and meal items. Gorgeous furniture and home decor. Great variety of giftware, clothing accessories, candles and seasonal decor. And the list goes on Definitely a great place to visit, eat snd shop
What an amazing accidental find! Beautiful store, great selection of meats, cheeses, desserts, fresh and frozen foods along with pantry items with some hard to find imported goods. Make sure to check out the furniture and gifts upstairs. There appears to be a small cafe but it wasn't serving food when I was there so will need to check that out another time.
I always love poking around here . Their produce and deli section is awesome ,great quality. Not over priced. Their restaurant is relaxing with great food and great service . Then there's the fun of walking around and looking at all their furniture and ornaments . Great way to spend sometime and do some shopping !
The store and atmosphere is amazing! Unfortunately we were not able to try the food as we got there too late, that is the only reason for the 4 stars. When we go back to the area we will definitely try the restaurant. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit to this area.
The Windmill Country Market offers a taste of delicious home cooking plus a trendy indoor market place with a fresh Bakery, fresh deli, cheeses frozen foods ... it's a must visit when in the Brant County area. Love it and their banana bread is just soooo good. Cheers, Spicy Jan
