I brought my partner and family here to celebrate their birthday at the recomendation. I have to say I was more than impressed what a great place to eat/drink. very clean, great view of the lake, very friendly staff. ordering for drinks taken as soon as we sat and did not have to wait very long until the meal arrives. my partner and her daughter ordered the dressed crab from the special menu and although it tasted very nice, my partner krabbe had a little bowl in it. we have not complained, but we have pointed this out to our waitress who brought the manager right away. what a really nice man he was, he was very apologetic and offered my partner an alternative meal without additional costs....

I had Lancashire rag pudding with veg and chips(8.95!)and son had haddock and chips both enjoyed, nice atmosphere and views over hollingworth lake, staff happy and pleasant, best in the area
