Our group of 5 had mixed experiences. The fried chicken on toast was delicious. The fried rice disappointing. I ordered a salad, requested the fried versus grilled chicken on top. The server took the order, then returned to advise that chef had refused the fried chicken on salad request, wanted to save enough fried chicken for others who may order it. Restaurant was near empty we had arrived about 5:15. My salad arrived literally swimming in dressing soggy, wilted I had asked for dressing on the side. Passed this place and decided to turn around and give it a try I'm glad I did the service is excellent and the food was really good. The soup is amazing I love soup more then I should for my age. I got the lentil and it did not disappoint. I had the tuna and I could only eat half as it was a large portion. I will definitely come back to try it.. like the look and feel of the place. I'm jot sure how long this place has been around but I really hope they continue to stick around.
We were on our way to a soccer game and stopped in Escondido for lunch. Glad we made the stop, the food was outstanding. The blueberry pancakes were the best pancakes we have ever had. They were a combination of fresh blueberries, granola and a lemon curd. Outstanding! We also had a grilled cheese and chocolate chip cookies and organic milk
The food was very good. However, the establishment could use major improvements to match the price point for their menu items. The restaurant wasn't busy and we were seated right away. We then waited about 10 minutes for menus and drinks. After placing our order, It took 45 minutes for our dinner came out.
