yesterday evening for lunch/dinner here. eating was beautiful what I could never expect from pubs, so that was a beautiful surprise! the house kiew was nice and damp, definitiw one to try, and the miso glazed lachs was surprisingly filling, not a tear at all (in contrast to most places) and also not overdue, chips were very nice. one of my cocktails was not really mixed, which was disappointed, but it did not at all dampen the experience. the whole staff was friendly and welcoming, did not come too early or too late either about the food order that people usually don't get right, so I also found it impressive. the rooms are beautifully illuminated and there is a pleasant ambiente to the squa...
the dream london pub my friend and I went here to drink a summer drink and a little dinner and we were both so impressed! woodman has many interior and exterior seats, including a summer-marquee and a covered terrace area in the pub garden, so it is ideal for summer evenings. everything from the great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to the incredibly friendly, attentive and polite service and the very tasty food (we had to start the smoked salmon and grilled garnels as well as some super tasty warm shallow brot and oliven) made it a 5* experience. it is also really good for groups and the table next to us brought their bikes (bikes) and were easily able to park them along the...
a group of us went there after a brilliant walk in the water park. woodman is so charming from the outside, even the beer garden is very welcoming. we ordered some pints beer and decided to order every Sunday roast the service is very, very slow. waiters are very uninterested and have taken a lot of time to get our food. the facility is very nice with some tasteful paintings inside, although we decided to sit outside as the sun seemed to eat well, we all liked it, but it was cold until the time it arrived. it could be because it was for six of us? it is definitiv worth for money (only 10 pfund for Sunday roasts) given the opposite that it is. We were a group of 13 people and went there for drinks without reservation. We were alloted a table after about 15 minutes of wait. We settled in the table and it took us around 10 minutes because the staff said they cannot join tables. Anyways after we settled and started ordering for our drinks the same person came and said that the table was reserved and we have to find another table . This annoyed all of us in the group and decided to go to another place. If I go there some another time will review about their food and drinks. Réservez une table maintenant
Grilled Salmon was average and for 18£ I expected it to be better than basic below baked salmon, already made rocket with some random dressing and frozen reheated low quality chips Pork Roast on 18£ was plentiful food, pork was good, potatoes as well, Yorkshire pudding yes, alright gravy, but vegetables were mediocre. Good overall but nothing exceptional worth of that price; there a far better places around London like Duke Of Cambridge around Angel
Some of the best pub food we have had in a long time. Clearly got a good chef! Nicely decorated inside too. The only reason we haven't given it 5 stars is that it was quite an expensive menu for a pub. Whilst it was great food, it wasn't fine dining or service (nor would you expect it to be) so the price tag doesn't quite marry up. All in all though, really good food we couldn't fault.
I visited this small restaurant and bar twice during my stay in the area and it was perfect. They have a spacious outdoor seating area with heaters to comply with pandemic guidelines. The vegan options were delicious, especially the hummus plate and vegan burger. The drink menu is extensive, with both hot and frozen options available.
summer evenings in the beer garden are simply beautiful. the sun shines when you are in a delicious roast, some crispy fish chips or a great burger. the sortiment an ales, lagder and gins is excellent. the service is quite normal and can not be called fast or efficient. but on the afternoon of the summer it is hard to beat.
