We made a reservation through Open Table for a birthday dinner on Sunday evening. We received confirmations via text and email from Open Table. When we arrived at 7, we were informed that the kitchen was closed and they only serve roasts on Sundays. They also mentioned that they no longer use Open Table. I recommend booking directly through the Gatherers website. DO NOT USE OPEN TABLE for this restaurant, as you may not get a table. I will not depend on Open Table again.
I had a fantastic meal at Gatherer's. The dishes were clearly well-thought-out, and my vegan version of fish and chips was absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the owner took the time to visit each table at the end of the evening to ensure everything was to our liking. I definitely plan on returning, and I can't wait to try their enticing cocktails on my next visit.
Food was excellent although rather slow to arrive (40-45 minutes). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wine seemed quite expensive (no wine list was available). Restaurant area was cold with only a very small heater.
The food was delicious, unfortunately it was served on cold plates and bowls so it was almost cold when it came to the table. Cocktails were great and lovely staff Cosy and atmospheric especially with the wood fire. Réservez une table maintenant
Great good and service, but oh so cold in the pub. It may be the second oldest building in Norwich, but it can’t be impossible to heat surely ? Dining in a coat and scarf isn’t ideal !
Good food in a quiet pub/restaurant. We liked a minimal choice (2 items) for Sunday lunch. Service was friendly attentive. Toilets need smartening up the website blurb rewriting.
The tasting menu was inspired and the service was attentive - this is the best vegan restaurant in Norwich!
