2017/04/01<br/ We were on our way back home and we were exploring dinner opportunities in Pickering. When The WORKS popped up, our decision was relatively easy to make. We like the variety and the options. And they make a pretty good burger. We have been to a few of their other locations, and we liked them. <br/ <br/ The decor is very industrial, with a bit of a construction worker theme. There are about 50 different names burgers with a variety of toppings. First time trying this burger joint out yesterday. A bit on the pricier side, but great tasting burgers! I ordered Son of a Beech, my husband ordered Sk8er Boy and took out a wagyu burger. The Beechhouse sauce on my burger was flavourful. My husband never thought of ever adding peanut butter to his burger but he will now! No complaints with the take out. The only thing I would mention is that the 1st server who initially served our table (female) lacked communication skills. She quickly came by to get our order when I wasn't ready, then never returned. My husband then saw her get ready to leave. We were the only ones seated at the time. The most perfectly fried onions I've ever had. The poutine is delicious and made with a vegetarian based gravy which is phenomenal! You'd think a BURGER joint would only have beef but nope, they accommodate all dietary restrictions. Protein choices are elk, wagyu beef, beef, chicken (grilled or fried) and beyond meat. They have different buns, gluten free and you can opt for lettuce. There's an INSANE number of combos and choices....if you can't find something to eat here, it's you not them (lol). When you order regular fries, it's bottomless. Their milkshakes are out of this world too...not overly sweet which is very refreshing. I've never had a milk shake where I want more after I'm done.....

The food was great as lays, however thevservice that day (a Saturday) was quite slow. Sign at front says to wait to be seated, after waiting for 10-15 minutes (only 2-3 tables were being used) we had to go look for someone. Once seated, everything was fine, except the server did not check up on us once until we flagged them down to ask for the bill. Probably severely understaffed, which is why it's a 4* review still, and besides, the food itself was excellent .

On of my favourite burger spot to visit in Pickering. Their Sexy Burger is my absolute favourite. Staffs are friendly and very helpful with recommendations. I recommend adding this restaurant to your list of places to try- you won’t be disappointed. The portions are very satisfying and filling.

I had their 'knock your plants off ' burger (which is a veggie burger) and it was great! If you 're looking for a veggie burger but really craving a big juicy burger, this is the place to get it!

The works has an amazing variety and the freshest burgers! A bonus is that the owners are very nice and do a lot of work for the community. Great place, we can never go wrong with the Works

Probably one of the best burgers I've had in my entire life. And I've had a lot of burgers. The sauce and gravy is right up there for best ever.
