The Yew Tree Inn is easily one of the best pubs in the UK. Extremely well kept local beer, it has an unpretentious lovely friendly atmosphere and a welcoming wood burning stove. Phil and his team are great. We had their Sunday roast last Sunday and it was simply perfect. We both had roast beef and it came with perfectly cooked roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds, veggies and gravy. Spot on! Even though I was full, I had the mince and calvados pie and custard. Does life get any better?! Five stars!
I had another amazing experience at The Yew Tree. I recently went there with my new boyfriend, Liam Price, after my previous relationship ended on Valentine's Day. The service was exceptional, especially from Phil who went above and beyond for us by getting a candle to set the mood for our night. The staff at The Yew Tree never disappoint and always keep the atmosphere upbeat. Thank you to everyone at The Yew Tree for a wonderful evening.
Fantastic Sunday lunch of roast beef with all the trimmings. Best lunch I’ve had all year. Highlights were the tender, flavoursome beef, lovely crispy roasties and great cauliflower cheese. Superb deserts, I had the sticky date and my wife had the orange treacle. Both puddings were absolutely brilliant! All round great pub! Lovely atmosphere, great local beer and ciders and super-friendly staff and locals. Try it, you won’t want to leave!
The Easter Sunday lunch at the Yew Tree was absolutely fantastic. Our group, despite booking late, was warmly accommodated by the staff. The food was delicious, with generous portions that left everyone satisfied. The desserts were especially amazing. We had a delicious Sunday roast here on Sunday. Everything was generous, tasty and hot! Puddings also great. The best thing however was the lovely, welcoming atmosphere and the friendly landlord who was very accommodating to a few dietary needs! Thank you so much, we’ll be back one day!
This pub is fantastic - it's unpretentious, offers delicious food and great ale, and is a welcoming place where homemade cooking is the focus. You won't find any pre-packaged items here, as everything from the main courses to the desserts is freshly cooked.
What can you say, the food is fantastic, it is your genuine ye olde village pub. Fantastic Butty Bach ale. The food you can’t fault. They did a Valentines Night tonight, WOW absolutely delicious, 3 courses for £30 can’t go wrong. The staff so friendly 10/10
Stopped by for a pre arranged breakfast with our classic car club. Really enjoyed the breakfast and the landlord and staff were really friendly. Will call back for lunch or dinner on another occasion for sure. Réservez une table maintenant
Always a warm welcome and a cheery word. This is a proper country pub with old fashioned charm. Can’t recommend the food highly enough. All round exceptional.
