This is a little gem of a restaurant. I arrived here with my girlfriend on a last minute idea with no reservation on Valentine's night. The super friendly staff got us a table within a few minutes after some shuffling of tables. We were quickly servers an amazing ore starter of a beetroot soup which was to die for. I decided to have the tapas plate. Which in honesty was way to big and really the only reason for a 4 star review instead of 5. I am not sure you would classify it as tapas but the food was good though a bit heavy as a starter. This was followed by grilled dorada which was out of this world. Cooked to perfection! This is a first-class restaurant with very modest prices. We went as a family to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the food was superb: Steak Tartar beautifully prepared and presented, Oven Baked Tomato Soup as good as you'll find in Italy, delicious beef filets, an extremely kind waiter (presumably the owner), and a small but very good wine list. I don't know of any restaurant in the city of Berlin that can match Theo's quality and price, and it's worth a drive from the city to dine here. It's not pretentious, and the quality is outstanding. A real winner.
Its not the only steak selling spot in Neuruppin. You will not be disappointed with food. Wine and beer selections ok. Service leaves a lot of room for improvement, friendly but too enthusiastic to clear the plates, even though members of the table are still eating. Forget the coffee! Nothing to write home about!
