We normally LOVE it here. Today there were several black flys inside that I was consistently guarding from landing on my food. The waitress specifically asked if we wanted all of the dishes out together and we said yes. One dish was ten minutes later than the rest and undercooked/cool to the touch. No apology for it being late or poorly cooked. I asked them to take it back and fix it and when it came out, it was the same. They asked if it was better and I said barely and she just walked away. I don’t know if the staff is new today or just off their game but I am incredibly disappointed in one of our favorite places.
Is it called third alarm diner because you feel like you're on fire in there during the summer? Seriously need some AC. But the food was solid- better than typical diner food. Had some stuffed scallops and the lobster Mac and cheese. Fried pickles appetizer was done perfectly. They do have beer.
DON’T ORDER THE BELGIAN WAFFLESOrdered Belgian waffles. Was served 2 square FROZEN toaster waffles. Waitresses admitted that they were frozen and put into the oven. Refused to eat as that IS NOT a Belgian waffle! So much of their other food is so good. Sad they can’t make a true Belgian waffle
