Up in Angus for the week and we were determined to visit this pub before heading back to Edinburgh, we were not disappointed. The pub is very welcoming indeed, not just it's ambience but the staff/owners as well. A very warm welcome for our furry 4 legged woofer always goes down well. We stopped for lunch, scampi and chips and lasagne and chips, both very pleasing, good size portions and very tasty. We had a pudding too, the ginger sponge and custard and the warm chocolate fudge cake and ice cream, which rounded off the lunch very well. This is a lovely friendly and welcoming pub right at the heart of Kirrie. The owners are really friendly and do a lot for the community. The food is really tasty and I love the themed menus. Very much recommend! Vegetarian options: Plenty options, and vegan if you ask. Dietary restrictions: They will try to accommodate any requests and allergy restrictions. Fantastic wee pub to have a meal and a drink. The food was excellent, the drink was reasonably priced and the servers were polite, prompt and well presented. This pub is dog friendly too. The staff treated me with discontent, not impressed. Young bar maid was nice, older one was rude to me and my party, all of us were not impressed
