Absolutely delicious! What else can I say? I've been to Indian buffets with more variety, but many of them lacked the essential flavors I've come to love. Those experiences often left me feeling let down, as I knew I could cook better meals myself. However, Thumka was a delightful exception. Every dish I tried was not only bursting with flavor but also transported me back to my first encounter with Indian cuisine while I was living in Chicago. Wow! Great buffet with lots of choices. Everything was fantastic, fresh and well prepared. The decor is inviting and welcoming. This was our first visit and we will definitely be be back. Friendly, helpful staff and even the chef came out to say hello. While they are a little hidden inside the shopping center, once you’ve found this gem, you’ll love it too, They offer the buffet daily from 11-3 and then open again for dinner. There is also a wonderful banquet room as well. If your looking for a great new place for delicious Indian food, give Thumka a try I think you’ll be very happy you did!
The owners were great and the food was authentic and even better. I felt like I knew the guys just meeting them once. Managers and owners that take a liking to speak to their customers are passionate about what they are doing. Drove out from Woodstock for the meal and wasn't dissapointed. I see some complaining about ambience and pricing. Don't get that...prices were around 10 dollars a meal. When did that get pricy for people in Algonquin for home cooked food? Don't think they are interior designers either. Good food for sure.
Food is tasteless, they shouldn't call it a Indian restaurant. It is palatable if someone haven't got Indian food for long time. Serves Buffet in lunch. Food variety is below average for Non Veg food, Veg food dishes are also less and not very good. Rice has 2 varieties pulao and jeera rice. They only serves Naan which is not very good. Buffet lunch cost 14.99. Butter chicken and Mutton curry are ok. They have a Banquet hall for kitty parties or birthday celebrations or even Indian marriages.

And owner says it's common in restaurants to see such issues . The lady server is not at all guilty for serving in appropriate food and agrues me it's me . Apart from that they charged me for the biryani too. Ruthless behavior. Never go visit there any time.

We loved the place. The food was really tasty. We had the all you can eat thali. The wait staff was very attentive and courteous. The prices are also very reasonable and a lot cheaper than similar food around the area. We will definitely come here again.
Amazing food and service. One of the best indian restaurants I have been to in US. Very good chicken tikka masala.The staff is friendly and quality of food is great since the first day.

I ordered the vegetable kohlapuri, and it was absolutely delicious. The waitstaff were very attentive, and the prices were reasonable.
So delish!! We had a wonderful experience. The paneer was my favorite.
