My friend lives in the area and chose the Tipple Bar as a good place to meet. I had never been before. She booked a seat under the canopy outside which was just as well as the heavens opened but we were perfectly dry and...warm under the glass. I ordered a felafel wrap with mint yoghurt dressing and chunky chips. Both were very good. The service was very good and the staff were pleasant. The price was very reasonable too. I didn't feel we were too close to other customers either as the undercover area is very spacious. A good place to eat. We went for lunch today, booked the night before. The staff are friendly and pleasant and the food is absolutely top notch, delicious and fresh, to a very high standard. My only gripe is that as nice as the team are, they need to me...more aware of who's in and where they're up to in their experience at this lovely place. we sat outside under the heating. there we were. had a nice meal and not one. my wife especially enjoyed the cantonese bark from the small portion menu. I was unhappy enough to order the fish tacos that did not contain fish. mainly a bit teig and salsa. because we were not asked how to eat I was called in inward (after paying the bills) to let the administration know that the fish tacos were half unleashed and that there was a clear lack of fish. the other hoses there were happy with their meals, so they take a tip and avoid the small fish free tacos and maybe they will have a pleasant break there
of us popped here for a quick bite to eat on a weekday late-lunch. The food took mins to arrive. The halloumi fries were nice enough. My dad’s chicken kebab was a dry piece of grilled chicken breast with a dusting of paprika...thrown on top. The BBQ jackfruit tacos I think must have been a joke? They had clearly bought a tin of ripe jackfruit (you should use green jackfruit) shoved it in a taco shell and squeezed some BBQ sauce on top. Lunch for a friends birthday, Tipple is a great choice. The seating outside makes it a perfect place to relax and it’s under cover so even if it rains you can stay dry! Food we both had the chicken Caesar Salad, which was well...presented and really tasty. Menu caters for vegetarians and has a couple of vegan options too! Coffee here is also excellent, served with a delicious homemade biscuit on the side. The team are always professional, friendly and attentive. Would recommend, you won’t be disappointed.
I was eating here months ago. small teller were for today they were so that the menu and the prices online are wrong. two years ago it was for perfect for people to share. big price increase. I ordered suppe instead....Had to return it as it was cool. it could have been sat while my friend had cooked her meal. not happy with my visit today.
