This quaint little restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, lovely decor, and a great location, plus our server, Lina, was exceptionally sweet! We enjoyed the mac and cheese and potato salad, as well as the cornbread; they were all good, though nothing to write home about. However, the chicken didn’t taste fresh, and while the flounder was well-seasoned, it had a distinctly old and fishy flavor. We ended up hardly eating anything and had to go elsewhere, where we were willing to spend more for better quality food. As I walked by the entrance, I decided to check out this restaurant, and I’m so glad I did. The food was amazing! We ordered the fried chicken with gravy, meatloaf served with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese, and cabbage and rice with peas. Everything tasted like a home-cooked meal, and I couldn't find a single thing to complain about. On top of that, we enjoyed a slice of cornbread that was simply delicious—hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. I will definitely be coming back. Though the restaurant is small, it’s well-kept, so don’t hesitate to dine in!
Great Food, Great Service, and Great Prices. My first time today so I ordered a ton of food to sample and it was all delicious. I got the fish and grits, meatloaf, beef short rib, and smothered pork chops. For sides, I got mashed potatoes, collared greens, and potato salad. I highly recommend all and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu especially the fried chicken. Support this local business. The owners and folks working today were all so nice! Love this place and I will be back soon and often!
Today, we happened to discover this restaurant, and I'm so glad we did. It was a delightful surprise! I truly believe that some places put a lot of care into their food, and this one is no exception. You can really sense the love in every dish. The service was friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Plus, the prices are very reasonable, making it accessible for everyone. You can enjoy an amazing meal without breaking the bank!

Ordered via doordash... Everything was surprisingly still warm and tasty. My fried porkchop wasn't soggy. String beans are a little bland but the sweet potato/yams are delish. The pork chops was also very tasty and not over cooked. I asked for gravy on the side and got a very small about. Barely enough for 1 of my chops. Buy still tasty nonetheless
I hosted my daughter's 30th birthday dinner at TJ's, and it was absolutely fantastic—from the food to the planning and decorations. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Tia listened to all my requests and made them happen. My guests left happy and satisfied, and the birthday girl had a wonderful time.
We ordered catered Thanksgiving from TJ's and it was fantastic! All we had to do was provide the number of guests and our requests, including vegetarian dishes, and they delivered perfectly. Don't miss out on TJ's! The vegetarian options were absolutely perfect!
