We were staying at the holiday inn, this is mins walk away. Negatives, no ale on but we went for food not beer. I’ve been to a lot of tobys and this was up there with the best, if not the best the mrs agrees too. The food was all hot, fresh and very tasty. The Yorkshire’s were huge, light and fluffy. The chef at front of house was a real credit, she took pride in everything she did and interacted outside the serving area with guests too. Absolutely spot on, deserves a better rating.

Jack was extremely helpful and polite at the restaurant. The food was very mediocre and they had run out of meat, except for turkey. A poor guy came in wearing a face mask and said he couldn't take away food because they had no containers. The food was bland and the cheese was watery and hard. I don't even want to describe the grey heap of food. Overall, I think the dauphinoise kartoffeln was a disappointment.

I went into this restaurant feeling famished and left feeling completely satisfied. The staff were excellent - they even looked after my dog while I picked up my food, and my furry companion was very content. I will definitely be returning in the future!

The meal is a good deal, with high quality meat and vegetables and a great selection to choose from. However, the decor is dull and uninspiring. The food is good, but the atmosphere is lacking. The entrance and exit through a fire escape were not ideal.

Visited with friends this evening and we had a lovely time, the carvery was very nice and we all enjoyed it. Special thanks to Lily who looked after us.
