I set out to find "the best sushi," thinking there must be something even better than my first experience. I tried over 15 different sushi restaurants in the area, including some highly-rated places in Metro Detroit, and none of them even come close to Kazoku. The freshness, quality, and price are all outstanding. The specialty rolls are thoughtfully crafted, with all the flavors perfectly balanced.
This is easily the best sushi I've had not just in Michigan, but in the entire U.S. (and trust me, we’ve tried a lot of sushi!). You won’t regret visiting, whether you choose to dine in or take out!
This is the best restaurant in the area! I’m willing to drive an hour to dine here whenever I’m not working. The cozy atmosphere creates a lovely dining experience, and the quality of the food is superb. The menu is crafted by an exceptionally talented Itamae sushi chef. I have enjoyed every visit over the past three years, and the quality remains exceptional, if not even better! The photo I’ve shared is of the sushi deluxe from April 8, 2023.
kazoku sushi is seriously the best sushi I’ve ever had. Everything is SO FRESH and delicious. Also it’s super affordable, yet the quality of the sushi is beyond phenomenal. I wish I could give this place over 5 stars because it’s that amazing. It is a 40 minute drive from my house, but it is worth the drive. I will come here forever! Their shrimp tempura and American dream roll are my favorite rolls that I get everytime.
Stopping at Kazoku Sushi was worth it. I hadn't been to this place since ownership had changed, but I can certainly say the owners made me feel welcome and did a great job with the combo I got. The rice had the right texture and strength to hold each piece of sushi together. The fish tasted fresh, and the sauce was spicy which was good as I did order a spicy set of rolls!

The sushi here is fantastic! I tried the Kazoku Vegetable Roll, the Volcano Roll, and the Futo Maki, which was particularly delicious. As of my review date (May 17, 2022), the restaurant is currently only offering takeout while they undergo renovations.
My boyfriend and I recently tried this sushi place, and it was fantastic! The fish was incredibly fresh and flavorful. If you're a fan of nigiri, this is definitely the place to go. The rolls are generous in size, and the prices are very reasonable!
I'm very impressed with this place.Although noble fish is my favorite, they do a very good job here on the sushi flavor, presentation, and balance in ingredients.Wish them continued success, and I'll definitely be back when I'm out this way.
So good I forgot to take a before picture! This is our new favorite sushi place. The miso is delicious and piping hot every time. The American Dream Roll is my favorite sushi roll I 've ever had!Food: 5/5

Went there for lunch. Service was awesome, fish was fresh, tempura… so light and crispy, roll and Udon was delicious. Wonderful food and experience. Highly recommend!
