"After what felt like a long journey back to solid ground after a long hike in Death Valley National Park, we headed to Stovepipe Wells for a break from camp food to try out the Tollroad Restaurant. The tasty food and large portions at this restaurant are the saving grace of this review as the wait to get service once seated was unnecessarily long. The food was quite good, the draft beer was cold, but it took over an hour to get our food brought to us (two burgers and fries). If you're looking for decent meal in the middle of Death Valley this is a good place, as long as you aren't trying to keep to a time frame."

Where to start we are staying here at Stovepipe Wells went to the restaurant this morning for the breakfast buffet. My companion is disabled requires a walker in order to walk. She used the ADA ramp to access the restaurant. When she got into the building she was unable to enter the restaurant because a very large locked gate prevented her from entering. I found the waitress asked if she could please open the gate. Her reply was that I needed to wait a minute. Ok we waited about 10 minutes before I went back was told that I had to wait she was the only one on did not have a key to the gate. She was angry defensive accused me of yelling at her. I politely let her know that we were not yelling...

*review is for breakfast, visit midweek jan2023* i'd put this breakfast at 4* anywhere but for it to be out in the middle of death valley and at such a reasonable price deserves 5* all the way solid coffee; bacon and sausage were well above average for a breakfast buffet it comes with potatoes that you can slather with hot gravy all for $10? top it off with fruit, juices, cereal and the fact that our hostess chose not to charge anything for our not yet 2 year old son out of kindness (he barely at anything, which i'm sure she had accounted for) we visited the restaurants at the ranch at furnace creek yesterday and deeply regret not coming here instead. the stovepipe wells area is much more ou...

A little restaurant right on the main road in Death Valley when you're driving through Stovepipe. We only came for breakfast, which is a basic buffet bacon, eggs, French toast, cereal, etc. The food is okay nothing to write home about, but it will fill you up for the day ahead. I was surprised by how cheap it was, though. It was only like $9/person, which taking into account the restaurant is right in the middle of Death Valley where there aren't many services, the price is not bad at all. Staff are were beyond friendly and kind. Such a pleasant experience. They also have Wi Fi here, just ask for the password. It wasn't busy when we were here, but I imagine it would be at higher peak seasons...

Staying at very expensive Oasis ranch inn. Disgusting overpriced food. Wanted a burger and fries. Not available at Ranch Inn. Drove 25 miles to Toll Road. Glad we did. Excellent burgers. My wife had a plain burger with sweet potato fries, enjoyed very much. I got a Frenchie with Brie cheese, fried onions and arugula. Delicious! Kinda expensive, $16 each. Reasonable considering we are in the middle of Death Valley. Our server Destiny answered all questions and checked on us frequently. The fact that there were only about 15 patrons at the time did not diminish our appreciation. Ambiance kind of bland. Didn 't go for ambiance, so not important.
