Some days early evenings its a lovely relaxing atmosphere but then others there is no where to sit as the bar restaurant insists on having seating for 4 6 8 with high tables dotted around with most taken up with couples who are not willing to move their handbags or worse dogs!!! The manager seems to find it acceptable to let owners sit their muddy pawed dogs on seats that are fabric (booths for 6-8 that sometimes only have 2 people sat there with their dogs) leather seats that are not wiped down after dogs have been sat on them. Ordered a sandwich from the menu which stated fries were included in the price, but at the point of sale I was asked if I wanted standard crisps or to upgrade to fries for an additional fee. When I pointed to the menu and queried why I had to pay extra for something already included I was told things have changed and they are waiting for new menus from the printers and they can’t honour the current menu because the till has already been set up for crisps only. We met two friends here at eleven during twixmas, the place was very very busy with the addition of a christening party downstairs. We waited over ten minutes stood at the bar to place our order! There was only one staff member serving alcohol and taking orders, eventually another staff member came to take orders. She said drinks would be another fifteen minutes, however she didn’t mention that the food would be a further half hour after that! We had therefore finished our drinks before the food arrived. We have been frequenting Tom's for several years now and absolutely love it. The bar is conveniently located near us, which is a bonus. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is friendly, and they serve delicious food along with a wide selection of specialty beers, cocktails, and drinks. What sets this place apart is that they also welcome our two dogs, Holly and Phoebe, with open arms. It's rare to find a bar that is so accommodating to our furry friends. A big thank you to Nathan, Mark, and all the staff for making our weekends so enjoyable. Tom's is truly a great place to unwind and we always look forward to visiting.

We have enjoyed visiting Tom Foolery regularly for the past 4 years. The place has a great feel and we enjoy a light meal and a bottle of wine. We don't have a big appetites so sharing a pizza and fries with a bottle of wine was ideal. Very happy on our previous visit as the house red was only £16 compared to the usual £19. This week we were very disappointed to find the wine back up to £19 a bottle and Pizzas no longer on the menu. We chose a vegan sharer at £26 which was 90% chips and little else. Bill should have been £45 but charged £46. Will not be going again.
I have been to the pub many times and recommended it to others, never again will go her for food. Absolutely terrible in every way service and quality it was absolutely dreadful. My sister is a celiac and we checked twice to make sure everything she had chosen was good for her and we were told it was, but her mouth still swelled up as a result, my friend was sick all night. The standard of service and quality has drastically gone down hill never again.
Tom Foolery is a great place, it caters for a wider audience fab coffee and/or lunch place in day and by night a nice bar with great food with a drink or two… Friday/Saturday it provides a place we can dance with good DJs. However what has blown it away was how great quiz night was last night! We often did another pub quiz in village on Mondays but our heads have been turned. See you soon TF! We even won £50 bar tab…. Had my daughters baby shower here Saturday afternoon and had a super time. The downstairs room was cosy with the most comfortable chairs. Staff were extremely helpful and food and drinks were great. Thanks for a lovely afternoon.

The food quality is poor and the staff seem to be more focused on chatting and attending to their friends rather than customers who are patiently waiting to be served.
Very very expensive for what we had poor quality food service slap dash to busy chatting so I’m afraid we certainly won’t be going back, It’s so overpriced.
