this place is amazing! visit the opposite of ohio and we have it near to come there in time and arrived about 15-20 minutes before they closed. instead of the usual drums they listen to most places a few minutes before closing the staff was super friendly and accommodating us we were welcome and take our time. we love diners and get a cheese steak sandwich and a reub. Unfortunately, reuben sandwich was not in the menu here. a coworker however overheard us to ask about it and said that they can do one. it was one of the best reubens I had. our server, denise, competently provided very personal and fast service. such a great experience in nostalgic atmosphere. recommend this from the way shade...

This is a great local place. We stopped in for breakfast yesterday and it was so good we went back again today. Between the five of us we had French toast, pancakes, eggs, bacon and home fries and everything was excellent. The home fries were among the best we’ve had.Everyone working in the place was hustling and working hard including the owner who was behind the counter cooking and coordinating all the plates coming out.We’ll definitely be back next time we are in town.

one of my favorite spots around the post-run brunch! there are many parking spaces and it is just a few minutes walk from the wyndham hotel in the city. service and eating is always consistent and fast, and my coffee cup is never empty. try their in-house, if this is their thing, they are delicious! definitiw the most consistent “traditional” breakfast place in the city, and they cannot beat the prices.

Service and food is always consistent and fast, and my coffee cup is never empty. Try their home fries if that’s your thing, they’re delicious!! on the way back to pittsburgh from a conclusion in penn state. that's exactly what they want in a diner. my double-burger was delicious and perfect! all in my party loved you eating. the whole staff was super friendly. there is so much personality and friendliness to be here. I wish I had lived closer!

we have laid the best breakfast of altoona and tom joe. I can't imagine it's better. our eating was delicious (Chorizo dish,) the staff was friendly and efficient and we were, I think, two of the few non-regulars. great surprise! I take the 2 hours drive to altoona to the breakfast at tom joe’s.

This is a very good breakfast and lunch joint ... the staff if very friendly and your order come very quickly also... bacon cheese burger was smacking for real.. fresh never frozen they stand behind that... Réservez une table maintenant

Love this place and can't believe I've never been here before. The food was wonderful! They even have scrapple! And I'm picky about it, and they nailed it. Most definitely a repeat customer.

Great diner has been in the Altoona area for years. So many selections and great waitresses. Very accommodating when we arrived 20 minutes before closing
