Great selection of food. I had a scone with jam and cream, it was delicious. I also tried a taster cake which was also great. All of the other cakes looked rather tempting. They do also serve savoury snacks. Coffee ok but a bit weak and milky. The service was quick and efficient. Prices were reasonable. I'll definitely go back. I've been back many times and it was good as ever. Still highly recommend. I have visited many times since my initial review, the latest was in early May 2022. No need to change my original review, it's still great. April 2023 still . April 2023 still .
A good little find that is an asset to the town provided it keeps up its standards. Great selection of cakes, including some less common types, and a wide selection of brownies. Decent portions and well made. The coffee is also well brewed and of a good quality. Staff are very good as well, courteous and considerate, asking all the right questions. The only downside is that the seating area upstairs lacks atmosphere, with plain walls and hard flooring making it a bit hard to hear your conversation, and the seats are rather uncomfortable.
Went to the Toms in St. Ives yesterday to meet a friend who recommended it as it served great coffee and delicious cakes it was ! So when we went to Ely today we went to Toms again and not disappointed ..The staff were amazing the shop was rammed but they served everyone with grace and efficiency! The coffee was hot and the cakes yummy! It was a pleasure to be there even though it was sooo busy as everyone was so good humoured happy to be in such a great cafe Well done all
Good friendly little place. Proper Indy too. Love there are a few Vgn cake options thank you, but omg they have been the same for years now Carrot cake, choc cake and date slice... All lovely but can you vary these at all pls? Update yep still same vgn cakes... ?

Although it says Tom Cake's their coffee is second to none. Used to be the Toll House for the Sheep Market many years ago it is a favourite spot for cake and teas and coffee. Couple of tables to sit outside is a favourite for cyclists and people and their dogs.
What a little gem! Cakes were amazing, and a huge selection. Also great coffee and the staff were so friendly! Thank you, want to def visit again!
Nice carrot cake. Many brownie flavours to choose from as well. Very popular place judging by the queue of locals and cyclists
Small shop (building was previously a public convenience! So queues can be out the door but cakes are worth the wait!
