Tony Wongs takeaway in Northwood Kirkby is a superb takeaway that has traded here for as I can remember and offers a superb range of well priced meals. Located in Kennelwood Avenue and only a couple of minutes walk from were I live and as its been a long time since we last visited here but the other night we went here for a chip shop meal. I don't go to chippy's that often but when I go I tend to go here.Anthony Wong's which is located in Kennelwood avenue has been here for as long as I can remember. A clean well kept chip-shop that offers well priced meals and soft drinks thats manned by super friendly staff. On most occasions I only have chips which are always superb and this is what we had on our visit plus curry.The chip's and curry where excellent as was the price.This is an excellent chip-shop that is well worth a visit if you are in Northwood in Kirkby.(This is my first review of Anthony Wongs). Placed order. First thing is that the driver asks for more money than the actual order??? Called the shop to be told the driver will call back with my refund. Won tons went with wrong sauce. Can hear the girl staff member slagging me off for calling and asking for correct order. Asked to speak to manager who is just as rude laughing at me and saying”so what do you want me to do”. Think some people need to learn good customer service but maybe that’s not needed when you work in a chippy???? Vile people, wouldn’t lower myself to order from here again!

After returning from a week-long holiday in Vienna, my twin brother Stephen and I stopped by Wongs Chippy on Kennelwood Avenue for a bag of chips each. In my opinion, this is the best chippy in Kirkby. The portions are generous and the chips are delicious. It's the perfect comfort food after a long trip. Tony Wong's Takeaway on Kennelwood Avenue is easy to find and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
I came to Tony's Wong's for a meal, but unfortunately the food was not good. However, Tony (if that was you) was a nice guy and I still enjoyed my visit, despite the disappointing food. It is clear that Tony is passionate about his work, and I admire him for that. I hope to work at Tony Wong's takeaway one day with my best friend, Thomas Hardy.
Belter chippy with fantastic staff and great food and boss delivery service highly recommend this chippy to anyone in the Kirkby area salt and pepper chicken fantastic
Chinese chicken curry and chips. Chicken curry big slabs of chicken. Big pieces of onion,and mushrooms. Very pale chips. Disappointed with meal. Will not order again.

Fish is very fresh, lovely crispy batter and beautiful fresh chips. The Chinese meals for also excellent and certainly not overpriced
