So, this is a little hole in the wall. It is very small. But it exceeded my expectations as far as food goes.The place was full when we got there and put in our name, but we only had to wait about 15 minutes before we were given a table. The staff is extremely busy but definitely very friendly and attentive to your needs. I had no complaints about the waitstaff at all.Both my wife and I were very pleased with what we ordered. I had calamari and she had fish and chips. One thing I was pleasantly pleased about, was the fact that it appeared that there oil was very clean. I had lunch there today with my cousins. I was early and already by 11:30 all but a couple of tables were full. There aren't enough tables to meet demand. To their credit the restaurant does have a wait list and people can jot their names down. Also you can order take out at the counter and do what we did, take it to the other side of the island and enjoyed our meals at one of the many tables surrounding the public market, overlooking false creek. I went to give a feedback that last week on the...holiday I spent 3 pieces of fish for lunch with my wife and daughter, but when I came home, there was only 2. I thought we could trust in Kanada all people and I was not in a hurry to solve it because I did not have shared with my family lunch for 2. Do not go during their busy months. Staff seemed extremely stressed and bitter. After reading 4 signs posted by the restaurant recommending patrons to order food to go as the restaurant is very small, we decided to give it a try. The signs even explained that they had an agreement with the coffee shop across the street to allow patrons to use their tables. We went inside and asked to place a to go order and was very rudely informed that they weren't taking to go orders. No apology or explanation as to why. She just walked away. We were in shock by how they treated us.

Tried this cafe while visiting Granville Island.First off - they have one bathroom room only (for men and women) that houses the toilet, sink AND all their high-chairs for kids and extra chairs ---- in the bathroom, please.... that is disgusting. They were very dirty.I picked the fish and chips special. The fish was greasy and heavy. The fries were dry (like they were old). We requested another batch of fries and they came the same way - dry and old. Would not recommend this place at all.
This business obviously banks off of the fact they're on touristy Granville Island, right next to the ocean. Despite being seaside, the fish and chips I ordered were horribly unfresh. I ordered the cod. It was rock hard, chips tasted greasy and stale, both the batter and fish were flavourless. I took two bites and couldn't bear to eat the rest. I wouldn't be surprised if they just heat up frozen meals.
We enjoyed everything we order...fish and chips, shrimp cocktail and fried prawns. It's a little place but the waitress was wonderful and we chatted with those around us. it had a very relaxing, homey feel.
we thought here was a bit lunch while on grandville island. we had the lunch special that was clam chowder and fish and chips. the fish was crispy and tasty and the cracker was very delicious.

large titan garnel and calamari! perfectly made and very tasty. can not wait to try other specificities. we're coming back.
Would recommend this place for everyone. We came early - group of six age 4 years to 67. Everyone left happy.
