We had a disappointing experience at Tony's Restaurant. We were served two types of canned soup and the poutine arrived at our table cold, topped with tex-mex cheese and lumpy gravy. Many in our group ended up hungry as they did not want to finish their meals. Additionally, we had to wait 25 minutes at the cash register before someone finally assisted us with paying the bill.
The Chinese Restaurant in Fraser Lake, a charming small town, is conveniently situated just off the main highway. Specializing in Chinese cuisine, the restaurant provides good service. However, the food is lacking in flavor and seems to be prepared ahead of time and reheated. There may be an overuse of MSG, as I experienced stomach discomfort shortly after dining.
Pleasant, attentive server. Tidy washroom. Otherwise an average place. I ordered liver onions (my gauge as to how good a kitchen is) a disappointment but not awful. This place had been recommended to me by a local as the best place in town,...so it was a bit of a letdown.
I have eaten at Tony's many times and I am thankful for the great food in this isolated area. My favorites are the hot pots, wor wonton soup and curried dishes like the curried scallops. Very good food and large servings. For lunch they also...make an excellent burger. Réservez une table maintenant
the western Chinese cuisine and some local foods are offered. travel west or east is a good stop. burns the lake is 45 minutes and prince george is another 2 hours drive. they are open weekly from Tuesday to Sunday. no breakfast is the bottom.
I had a late lunch at this restaurant yesterday. It was not amazing but also not terrible. I regret not trying the Chinese food, as I ended up choosing chicken fingers and fries. The price was a bit high at $14.00, but the service was good.
the food was great we ordered off the menu as I am not a big buffet fan and it was all good. The server was very busy as there was only one for the whole restaurant and quite a few patrons that night being it...was Saturday
after our hike at mt. fraser, which we ate in the white swan park, we picked up an dinner at tony’s. a great way to finish our hike. thanks to to to tony’s for an excellent dinner. Réservez une table maintenant
came with my family of five and my father who visited. eating was okay, but the staff was very wonderful. eating came fast and in portions were great. all and all good experiences.
