Toro Japanese - Réserver une table

Delicious sushi! Clean restrooms. Soup, salad, sushi and steak dishes from the hibachi are all fantastic. Hard to find because there is no sign on the service road. The last picture shows the sign that is directly in front of the restaurant. It looks like that at one time it must have been the restaurant for the motel next door. Same stucco finish. Fast service so a great place for travelers passing through Vernon on 287.

Had to wait for Tyson as usual. Toro is a short walking path from the dirt truck lot across from the truck stop. It was great to sit down and have a really good meal. Had the hibachi combo. Filet, chicken and shrimp over mixed vegetables. Everything was tender and fresh.The tables and chairs are those of a fast food restaurant but don’t let that fool you. The food was delicious!

Service was bad but worse is its dirty. Go in the woman's restroom and look under sink that isn't hidden is how I noticed. I took photos but don't know how to post here but mouse trap and bowls of catfood. I hate to think how kitchen is.

Had lunch with my husband. Service was slow, took a while to be seated and place our order. Onion Soup was pretty good. I had the Chicken Hibachi which was okay, and California Sushi was probably what I liked the most.Food: 3/5

Well what can I say? It's no coast sushi, but it will do for a middle of nowhere Texas. Hibachi is a bit oversalted. But the service was really good, waiters are professional.Food: 2/5

Really great tasting food and the eel roll fantastic! Will definitely keep going back. This from the author of The Reckoning of Rance.Parking: Plenty even with truck and trailer.
