First time at Tosca, reserved easily on open table. My boyfriend and I were going to celebrate my birthday. Reservation was for 7pm and we were sat promptly toward the left of the restaurant and it was LOUD! Difficult to get around all the people milling around the bar back there. Our server was nice and attentive and answered the couple of questions we had about the pasta dishes. We ended up ordering one of their specials, the Caprese salad as an appetizer and were very disappointed. It was like one hunkin half of a tomato in the middle of the plate with a couple of other random wedges and some cherry tomatoes, TONS of grated parm but barely any fresh mozzarella, just a few shreds. I have to admit my biggest disappointment is not being able to sit at the counter in front of the chef station. We just so enjoyed that experience! That said the food and service are as outstanding as ever. The menu has changed, and I miss some of my old favorites. However we discovered some really great new dishes that we're nothing short of amazing. Sometimes surprise is good! And Chef Divino Costa has become such an inspiration in that establishment, and guess above and beyond to make guests feel truly special. A+ all around. And thanks for making our anniversary, and now my birthday , so special!
Recently moved back to the area, was heading for another restaurant when we passed Tosca. Remembered how good it was, not disappointed. As good as ever. Great ambiance, food and martinis.
