Went to Toscano’s last night with a group of work friends. The food was delicious, well plated with ample portions. The restaurant was buzzing with activity with the front staff bustling to and fro looking after everyone. My only observation (not a complaint) was the time in between courses. The 10 people in our party arrived at approximately 5:15 pm, our waitress took our order promptly after the last couple arrived around 5:30. Most of us ordered from the Dine around menu. It seemed to me there was a long time between when the order was placed until the first course arrived at our table, same between the first and second course and I was beginning to wonder if they had forgotten about us b...
My husband and I went here for supper this week. I had the prawn carbonera, and my husband had the rack of lamb. We each had a glass of wine (his was red, mine was white), and dessert (chocolate mousse for him, and cheesecake for me). The carbonera was delicious. Homemade spaghetti noodles, a creamy sauce, and good sized shrimp. Very satisfying and flavourful, but not overfilling. My husband's rack of lamb was perfectly cooked, and came with fingerling potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Dessert was also good. The chocolate mousse was excellent. We did not feel like cooking dinner and an Italian meal sounded good so we went to Toscano’s. It was a Tuesday night so we did not make a reservation and while fairly busy we got a table for two. I started with a tuna and octopus cold plate which was very good, then I had the flat iron steak which was cooked to perfection. My wife had the tuna wrapped with prosciutto which she really enjoyed. A nice bottle of Chianti went well with the meal. We shared desert. Great friendly service along with good food made it a great night.
We frequent Toscanos often as we always get a really great meal. It's hard to pick one favourite but the pea carbonara, prawn carbonara are our favourite pasta dishes. All homemade pasta which is tender and perfectly cooked. The pecan chicken and the flank steak are favourite entrees. And so many delicious starters. Bonus that you don't see at most restaurants hot plates. They plate hot food on hot plates and it makes a big difference! We have had great service there and have never been disappointed. Gross, no other way to say it. Sand and dirt mixed into the seafood dish news flash, clean your mussels and pre soak/wash your clams extremely loud , tables very close to each other, took 24 mins to get our drinks and over an hour from ordering to food on our table. Whatever has happened to this once gem I have no clue but it’s apparent they don’t care about quality anymore yet still charge like they do.
My girlfriend and I visited in July. We were so impressed off the bat with their Covid protocols. The service was fast, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The ambience was great. The food was amazing. We both loved our pasta orders. The pesto was so fresh and flavorful and the carbanero sauce was the perfect blend of not too creamy but still a great cream sauce.
My wife an I went on a date night . Annual Dine around town event is happening. They offered a three course meal for 35.00 each. Intentionally we each ordered different options so we could taste the others choices. All six items were beyond expectations. Great flavor, presentations, price was fair. And not so noisy that we couldn 't chat during our entire meal.
Reservations were easy, the servers were friendly and helpful, and the food was AMAZING. We ordered the traditional ceaser salad, tuna and octopus try it!
