The staff was extensive and clearly busy, catering to the transition from breakfast to lunch. There are large glass windows behind the bakers that allow you to watch the team prepare everything fresh in the kitchen. The coffee was made to order and tasted fantastic. We also loved the motivational sign at the entrance. This bagel shop is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. Despite the bustling crowd, everything was well organized and efficiently managed. Everyone had their role, and it showed in the smooth operation. We’ll definitely be coming back tomorrow!
Highly recommended for local Facebook groups! During my first visit, I was impressed by the cleanliness and sanitary atmosphere. The space is large and airy, filled with plenty of light. They are taking COVID precautions seriously. The bagels were fantastic; I tried the plain and poppy seed varieties. They had a bold flavor with just the right amount of strength, and tasted incredibly fresh. The service was fast, efficient, and courteous. I will definitely be returning soon!
I've been a loyal customer for a long time, but I've decided to stop coming. I'm not sure if it's a cost-cutting measure, but they no longer serve enough cream cheese on their Cream Cheese Bagel. You can hardly taste any cream cheese at all—it’s just a thin smear, similar to how you would spread butter on a bagel. This has happened repeatedly. It's just not worth paying $5 for a bagel with cream cheese when there's hardly any on it.
I consistently experience terrible service from Victor! He took my order several times and always seems irritated whenever I ask for anything. This morning, when I requested napkins while checking out, it was clear that he was very annoyed by my request. He needs better training or should consider another job if he doesn’t want to serve customers. Dealing with him has definitely put a damper on my mornings.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding! I ordered an everything bagel sandwich topped with lettuce, tomato, and cheese, while my wife enjoyed a pumpernickel bagel with scallion cream cheese and lox. Although the line appeared long, it moved surprisingly fast. These are some of the best bagels on the Island!
Easy to see directly from Old County Road Service Plainview and the adjacent areas of Nassau County. Many parking spaces and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Clean facilities. Appropriately expensive. Credit cards accepted. Big staff mainly owner Steve Cohen who treats you like family. Very recommended! We're definitely going back.
