My son and I were visiting friends again and decide to go back to the Trading post for lunch and to check out the little shop they have there. The owners have done renovations since we were here two years ago. The food is just as good as the first time we were here and the store has been redecorated and a lot of new items have been added. the staff is great and friendly. The deserts are yummy and its not expensive. If you want good food at a reasonable price and friendly staff, this is the place to eat while you are passing thru on you way to the cottage.
We wondered in here August Long Weekend. Just thought we would look around. Pretty big place. The next day we went back for dinner. The menu was simple and delightful. Simple meaning the kept the menu to a certain uncomplicated size, but the food choices were awesome. Some had sandwiches, burgers, fish, hotdogs etc. We loved the food. The service was fantastic. It was an enjoyable stop on a rainy day. Everyone enjoyed there dinner. The prices were fair especially for the meal sizes. We will definately make this a stop everytime we visit the area.
If you stop at the Trading Post for a meal, you'll not only enjoy delicious food but also have the opportunity to browse the wide range of items available in the store. From giftware and jewelry to clothing and camping equipment, there is something for everyone. The staff is attentive and ensures a great dining experience. Plus, don't forget to try the Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream available at the general store. Overall, a great place to eat and shop.
We were heading for Fenelon Falls and thought this place looked interesting, so we stopped for lunch and were glad we did. My wife had an egg salad sandwich and I had a tuna melt. Both were delicious and came with a huge serving of fries. Service was friendly and attentive. After lunch, we browsed through the gift shop which had a very interesting selection of merchandise. Hi. My husband and I are the new owners of the trading post outside of fenelon falls. We took over in November 2014. Stop by and visit us and our friendly staff to enjoy a delicious meal or browse around our large gift shop! We have extensively renovated and spruced up the place! Absolutely love the Trading Post! Breakfast meals are always filling, delicious and made with fresh ingredients! It's a diner like feel with staff that make you feel like you've come to their home to eat! Townie, cottager or just passing through you've got to eat at the Trading Post!
Stopped for lunch on the way to the cottage and were incredibly impressed with the service and incredible meals we ordered. Amazing wraps and the hand dipped fish and chips (freshly cut) were amazing! A must stop by when passing! Ice cream parlour and huge gift shop attached!
