We made reservations on line for four at 6:30. They were accepted and we arrived on time. The dedicated elevator lobby entrance was closed with a sign stating that the restaurant was closed until October 1, with limited service for breakfast. We went to the Hotel lobby and learned that the restaurant had been closed for several days for remodeling. Our concern is why didn’t Trappers management post this information on their website and share it with the reservation service? LOUSY SERVICE!!!

This a great steak house located in a Holiday Inn of all places! The space is awesome, great view of the mountains, friendly staff from the moment you walk off the elevator. I have eaten at Mortons, Del Frisco and others and Trappers was by far the most fun and the food is as good if not better than the other high places. You have to try Romancing the Stone. They have a great bar as well as well happy hours. Check them out!

We ate here for our anniversary in April. They have a cool deal where you can cook your own steak (or seafood) on a hot lava rock, so that's what we did. That was great. The steak and shrimp were delicious. The side dishes left something to be desired though. The veggies were overcooked, and the mashed potatoes were dry. We thought it was a little pricey, but it was o.k. for a special occasion.

The unique grilling stones are what sets Trapper's apart. They allow you to cook the food to your tastes at your table and make for a fun dining experience. The prices are a bit high, but the good food, atmosphere and service were worth it.
