The first time I visited this much talked about restaurant I wasn't too impressed. I thought I needed to give it another try. The food is great. No complaints there. But when I go out I also expect a certain level of service (I can get bad service at home! . The service both times left a lot to be desired. The hostess was lovely but after our interaction with her the rest of the evening I was made to feel like a big bother. There are too many restaurants in this great food town to waste you here a third time. I get better service at Torchys!!
Such a great experience at Trattoria Sofia. This was first time and the service was just AMAZING! Wine and Food came out in a timely manner and staff always made sure to tend to us. The charcuterie was so delicious and more than enough for 2. The lamb ragù was SIMPLY AMAZING. The sauce and pasta was made homemade and you could for sure tell. We also ordered a margarita pizza and added chicken as our waiter mentioned. Also delicious- I will for sure be back as the pasta wowed me!!!!
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. Our server, Layla, was fantastic. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was impeccable. We will definitely be returning. Layla went above and beyond to make my mom's 75th birthday dinner special. The seafood pasta special was particularly outstanding. Although it was a bit expensive, it was definitely worth it.
The wait staff provided very unsatisfactory service. They were slow and inattentive, making our special occasion feel anything but special. Our cocktails were also not prepared correctly, with a simple vodka martini needing to be sent back twice. This is the second time we have encountered such poor service at this restaurant, so we will not be returning.

I tried to reserve a table for a birthday party (12+ which they could not do at the restaurant and had me contact a party coordinator to set it up. I called and messaged this coordinator, Virginia someone, multiple times and She could not be bothered to even reply back. Safe to say, they will not get any of our business going forward. Worst service ever.
The food was fantastic! The spicy peperoncino calabrese on the margherita pizza really elevated the flavors. The lamb meatballs were a standout dish. The only downside was that happy hour was only available at the bar and not at regular seating. Despite this slight disappointment, we thoroughly enjoyed the food. This place is a must-visit in Houston!
Our waiter was phenomenal! He recommended the pizza with prosciutto that was sweet and savory. Can't remember the name of the pizza but it was SO good! And the waiter made the experience that much better. Will def return!
Fantastic food and service! Loved the ambiance and every dish was more delicious than the last. You must get the beet salad, octopus and lamb ragu pasta.
