Living a mere two blocks away, I pass by Tres frequently. It’s in the heart of midtown midtown's culinary crossroads at Westheimer Helena. I needed something to eat, this was close, and I didn’t want to cook. It turns out I stumbled upon an absolute gem! The ambiance is like a cultural melting pot, but without the awkward political debates. The decor is like an art gallery collided with a spice bazaar, and the food is the delicious aftermath.Their menu is a culinary love affair between Mexico and Arabia – imagine tacos and shawarma having a delicious rendezvous. So many delicious options on the menu! We had the birria fries, which were so good, and a street machete. Service was great! They have have a full bar as well and some tv screens showing the game (but it’s not a sports bar). Cute decor as well! Definitely check it out if you’re looking for great fusion food.Vegetarian options: They had a few dishes with falafel, including a falafel taco. There was also a cauliflower taco that looked pretty good. I believe you could get either of these in a bowl setting as well.

The hummus is homemade. They gave a variety of flavors from jalapeno to carrot. From the texture to the flavor of the hummus was a 10/10. They also have a delicious old fashioned made with Mezcal. Great staff!IG :

Good Mexican-middle eastern fusion in a laid back environment. Looking forward to going back and trying more interesting dishes.
