This is not the Tria of a few years ago. It is still a lovely place. We dined on the patio and had a wonderful server. My husband I both had the beet salad $12 each) which was a pathetic little pile of frisée with about 2 tablespoons of diced beets. No detectable dressing or pistachios. We also had the duck breast. It was perfectly cooked and delicious!! Adequate size but was served on what seemed to be something more like hash browns than rice. Since it was our wedding anniversary we got a complimentary serving of their signature dessert and 2 glasses of champagne. In general good quality, well prepared and served food. In keeping with out of control tipping culture, this restaurant adds 4% tip as service charge to the bill. In small print it says you can request to remove it. The restaurant knows no one will ask the server to do that, it would be embarrassing. The minimum amount of tip is 20%, so you end up tipping 24% as minimum. In Minnesota, like Oregon, servers are paid minimum wage per state law. So the argument that servers are paid less than minimum wage does not apply here. The Poutine was a mishmash of soggy french fries, braised beef pieces and gobbs of cheese. Food quality/flavor/options have gone downhill in last few years. Prices unfortunately gone up several dollars while portion sizes half been cut in half in many circumstances. We previously frequented the restaurant many times a year...now we are questioning making the special trip out there. With the restaurant's food bar product execution before, you couldn't go wrong no matter what you ordered as everything was great, sometimes amazing! Nowadays options are good, but a significant let down. Pretty place to dine, but feels like an old person's haunt with clientele.
Expensive, but worth it. Food is so good that they don't need huge portions to satisfy customers. Relaxing but classy atmosphere. Service was top notch attentive without being suffocating. 10/10 will go again. It was very expensive, I ordered the halibut fish with potatoes and barely any potatoes It seemed like all I ate was fish served on a plate,very disappointed ,but on a higher note the atmosphere was pleasant.
