I ordered from this restaurant today through Uber Eats after not dining here for years. While the food was decent, it is not a place I would specifically seek out to visit again. Personally, I found the flavor of the curry to be lacking. I have experience making curry and roti with family members, and I honestly believe that Gloria's I&O in Brooklyn (Nostrand) has a more flavorful curry. However, I did enjoy the paratha as it was a good portion size and tasty. We used to go to Singh?s on Liberty Ave. when we came to town, but after reading the reviews we had to try this place. When we got there the line was out the door to the street corner so we knew it had to be good. We ordered Curry Chicken w/roti and five doubles. Amazing spot Best doubles, incredible roti. Great vibes, great crowd. If you’re like me and aren’t a hundred percent sure of the difference between Buss up shut, roti and Daal Puri fear not ask for Nicky. She is electric, kind patient, takes the time to make perfect suggestions and somehow, no matter how crowded, does it all with a welcoming smile. Varshanie does a terrific job assembling your order. This place is ALWAYS busy so it?s smart to order ahead. I ordered two doubles. One with chutney and one with cucumbers and both were very delicious and authentic. I ask for the pumpkin and curry potato with Dhalpuri Roti and it was perfect! I keep seeing complaints about service. Keep in mind this place is very high volume. The staff weren?t unpleasant or unprofessional any time I?ve been here just very busy!
So worth the wait! You must arrive patient and not starving, then you’ll enjoy the experience. It’s a little hectic to order, but the food was so flavorful and cheap that you just gotta trust the process. I got doubles: oxtail, boneless chicken, and potato, as well as aloo pies: boneless chicken and potato. All amazing! Makes for surprisingly good breakfast leftovers, too.
The staff at this place is very professional from the moment you walk in the door the service is excellent, even when its busy you are never ignored someone always there to help. The food is amazing like being back in the island of Trinidad the only thing missing is the nice weather to go with it lol.
This restaurant is the perfect place for doubles and all Trini cuisine. You can expect long lines and a wait of at least 20-30 minutes or more most of the time, but it's worth it as nothing disappoints here.

Got some roti skins, they were excellent! But the doubles was a miss for me. The customer service was good though the cashier was really polite and friendly! I should say both cashiers were really nice!
It's very rowdy but the food is *chef's kiss*! Pack a lot of patience when going here cos the queue can be crazy. They need to expand.
