I wasn’t even going to write a review but after reading the one from 5 days ago I see that this was not an isolated incident… my friend in I came in here and tried to order at the counter and the lady at the register told us we need to sit and be waited on. There was only us and one other table in the building. We sat there for over 30 minutes (even put parking meters had expired) as practically every employee in the building walked by us and said nothing. Is wasn’t until they made a brownie Sunday for themselves to all eat that they realized us staring at them while eating it. The lady finally came over and we ordered 2 of the “oh my gosh” Sunday’s that are supposed to come with a brownie....
I can’t speak for the food because we were never waited on. They were very busy but we waited and watched servers just talking. I finally went and asked if we were supposed to order at the counter and was told a waitress would come take our order. After returning to our table and waiting longer we were never even acknowledged, passed by several times ? so we left and we went a couple doors over and had lunch at 306 Grill and it was delicious! Well have ice cream down the street at Rollies!
This is a must visit store if you are in Alabama or passing through. Incredible history, fabulous food, people, and experience. The ice cream flavors are so original and top notch, quality. The city itself is beautiful, there is wilson park, couple of blocks away, paid parking available on street and parking lots. On street parking is plenty, and it gets you ample time for a few quarters. We had an amazing time during our visit and highly recommend visiting this place.
We stopped by Trowbridge's for ice cream on Sunday afternoon. It was busy around the door, but we were told to take a seat where a server came quickly to take our orders. Four of us ordered different ice cream dishes and each one was excellent! Service was friendly and fast. The restaurant was clean with interesting pictures on the wall. Many couples and families were there as well. We would definately return. Réservez une table maintenant
Delicious and budget-friendly! I had the best scoop of ice cream I've ever tasted—orange pineapple. Even though the recipe comes from a different company than the original, I absolutely loved it. It almost made me wish I lived in Florence, as you can't find this flavor anywhere else. I highly recommend it!
Trowbridge’s is a cute ice cream parlor and sandwich shop that’s been in business for over 100+ years. They keep it simple with sandwiches that taste like your grandma made them and the shake’s are top notch. I loved the chicken salad sandwich and Smokey mountain Fudge Shake!
