Always love the food. It’s amazing! It’s a place I often treat my out of town guests to. Atmosphere is okay. However the customer service is always hit or Miss. Here’s why 3 personal experiences below. Experience 1. I walked in and one of the managers jokingly asked me something along the lines of if I could help scrub the floors to work for what I ate….That caught me off guard for sure. Experience 2. I’ve come multiple times where the restaurant is empty and the server would sit me or my mother in a spot. If we asked to move, there would all of a sudden be “reservations”. Well, no one would come! And one time when that happened, a new manager who bo longer works there gave us different seat...
TruFire was a pretty great experience. First off our waiter Mimi was a gem and answered all of our questions about the gluten free options. They do have a separate GF menu with a lot of choices ranging from salads, pastas and sandwiches. For an appetizerwe had the Crab Dip with gf pita. The pita was just okay nothing really special. The dip was good portion size and tastyalthough a tad bit salty (just like me). Dinner consisted of the naked avocado salad add chicken. My husband ordered the GFchicken sandwich with side salad. The food was delicious and it had a cool atmosphere, but I suspect something happened last Sunday morning that they weren’t expecting. Short staffed? Ordering issues? Our server told us they had run out of espresso, and so a few of our party ordered the French press coffee (they have no other type of coffee, which is… an odd choice for a place that serves brunch). We then waited a long while to get our initial drinks, and when the server came back to the table, he told us they only had a single French press available. My wife, my sister, and I visited this restaurant for the first time together. We decided to start with the market board, which featured a selection of cheeses, meats, olives, apple slices, honey, and various other accompaniments. I opted for the chicken sandwich with fries, which came with a unique garlic-infused house ketchup. My wife chose the French toast and was pleased with the accompanying cream. I love this American Lebanese fusion restaurant. I brought my kids for Saturday brunch and all of our dishes were fantastic! We really enjoyed dining on the outdoor patio, as the inside of the restaurant was very dark and had an older atmosphere. The location and parking are excellent. It's great to take a walk, stroll, and shop around the area after dining here.
New favorite server alert….Dom at the Southlake location is by far the best server I’ve had in a long time. He has a friendly demeanor, is anticipatory to needs and I didn’t have to ask for a thing! Timing of refills was spot on (and there were many), to go boxes, my cake, the check. He is a gem in this industry!
For a true mimosa and friendly bartenders, head to TruFire! Shoutout to Eric Tyler and Taylor Joel, you guys are amazing. Don't miss out on the delicious crab dip, giganté, and trumac-n-cheese. The French toast and steak eggs at brunch are outstanding. Enjoy your meal!
