I attended for my birthday dinner and the restaurant was informed prior that the dinner reservation was for a birthday, I asked if the staff were going to sing happy birthday and bring out a small complimentary dessert to celebrate and they said I would have to pay for a dessert which was no issue at all my only issue was nobody still came out and celebrated. I believe on special occasions you should make your customers feel special and I did not feel special at all, even when my friend had bought me a cake they said they charge a three dollar per person fee just to cut it because it was an outside cake. My family and I came here after a soccer match at the stadium nearby. We're Jersey folks and aren't familiar with Connecticut's food scene but decided to give Max's Trumbull Kitchen a try. It has like an Asian/Mexican/American fusion and everything on the menu looks good. We started with the rock shrimp, which were huge and covered in a crunchy sweet potato batter, they were scrumptious! I got the Italian sausage, ricotta stone pie as my main, it had the perfect ratio of toppings per slice, it was delicious and big enough for two, I couldn't even finish it. We may need to take another trip to CT but we'll make it a foodie one!
I came here with 2 friends, 1 of which was in a wheelchair. We sat outside with clear skies but suddenly it started raining. They had a couple of people come out and help with the food while I wheeled my friend in the doors. And someone held open the door for us too. 2 other people came in drenched in rain water and were greeted at the door with towels. A manager checked on us and was very polite. The whole staff was great, the food was great, everything. Very thoughtful of everyone, especially when my friend got out of his wheelchair for a minute to stretch his legs and had to use the railing to stand up with
I had a great time because of Chris the waiter. He was so helpful, personable and knowledgeable about the food. The food was delicious with excellent presentation. The portions were a tad small. Chris explained what each entree was, that I had a question about and when he said it was going to be delicious. He was absolutely right. Trumbull Kitchen was awesome but Chris the waiter took it over the top.

Had a great experience during my first visit to Trumbull Kitchen. The waiter Zane was amazing. Super tentative as a waiter, checked in on us and made accommodations if needed. He had a great personality, and engaged in conversation with my table. Overall great customer service. Thank you Zane for making the experience one to remember.
Fabulous meal! Our server John informed us and his recommendations did not fair! The hanger steak was sooo freaking delicious! And finally someone knows how to cook french fries to perfection! And if you don’t try the TK margarita you are missing an explosion of taste!
Awesome place for date night! The server, Zane, was very helpful in explaining the dishes and specials. He was on point with what he recommended! The drinks were great! The food was amazing, fresh, flavorful and perfect portion size. Definitely would go back!
