Stopped into this very popular grill in the early afternoon. It was clean and attractive inside and out. The service was attentive and well timed. I had an excellent hamburger and fries combination. The burger was perfectly cooked and well plated with a lovely bun. The fries were heaven, crispy outside, creamy inside and hot when I got them. If you are visiting the Cloisters or have just biked or hiked the path along the Hudson river....this is the place to stop for a bite and a beer. The downtown A train stops right across the street, which is a major convenience for tired tourists.
The restaurant is beautiful both inside and out. The prices are reasonable for Manhattan, but the food was only average at best. The short rib I ordered was quite dry, which was disappointing. However, the sour dish I had was absolutely fantastic. Additionally, the place was nearly empty for a Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., yet it took a long time for the servers to take my order and bring my beer (10 minutes to serve a beer is excessive). Despite these issues, I would be willing to return and see if my experience is different next time.
The restaurant looks stunning in and outside. The prices were fairly thought about it? Manhattan, but the food was good. The short rib of my hero was too much on the dry side, which was a little disappointment. The sour I ordered was absolutely fantastic. In addition, the house was almost empty as it was 2 p.m on Tuesday, but the servers always get my orders as well as to serve my beer (Come on, 10 minutes to serve a beer is a little). Nevertheless, it would definitely be possible to see if the experience differs.
The place was quite nice. The food was plentiful, which was a big plus. The only drawback was that our table felt a bit cramped for the three of us, and the waitress should have taken that into account. Aside from that, the service and food were excellent. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to relax and enjoy good conversation over drinks. One thing to note about the drinks—they were decent but not top-shelf. I’ve been to this restaurant for breakfast/brunch twice so far. The first time, I ordered the eggs Benedict with avocado, but I didn’t enjoy it because I encountered some parts of raw egg white. On my second visit, the chef and waitress were really kind and substituted the chicken in the chicken and waffles with vegetarian tenders for me. While I’m not particularly impressed by the food, I do love the atmosphere and the music they play here! I still want to try dinner at this place!

On my second visit, the cook and waitress were incredibly kind and substituted the chicken in the chicken and waffles for vegetarian tenders for me. While the food didn't completely wow me, I really loved the ambiance and the music they played. I'm definitely looking forward to dining here again!
