Die Brötchen werden zwar wirklich immer kleiner, aber die Aufstriche sind nach wie vor köstlich. Ich kenne das Lokal seit ich quasi ums Eck meine Lehrzeit absoviert habe und das ist schon sehr lange her. Meine Favoriten sind der Geflügelleber.- u. der Pfefferoniaufstrich geblieben. Bier trinke ich keines, aber auch der kleine Apfelsaft schmeckt recht gut dazu. Eine zeitlang gab es eine Filiale in der SCS, weiß nicht ob es die noch gibt, das Ambiente in der Dorotheergasse hatte es dort aber nicht. :)
Tak, to jest miejsce które musi odwiedzić każdy Polak. Bistro związane z naszym rodakom Trześniewskim, który w czasie zaborów otworzył dokładnie w tym miejscu barek z kanapki z pastą jajeczną. Nawet dziś pomimo upływu tylu lat czuć tu smak i klimat dawnej polskiej kuchni. Prosty, bo to "tylko" kanapki, ale ten chleb, jajka, śledzik, skwitowane zostały krótkim "kurcze, jak kiedyś u babci!". Do tego maluszek w postaci 1/8 litra piwa (Pfif), wiedeński spritzer, naturalne wyciskane soki.... Rrrewelacja.
Travelling from Australia we searched for and found this delightful lunchtime restaurant following a Rick Steves review.What a great concept restaurant. Many delightful options with great service and even a little beer (Piff) as an accompaniment.We always found seating and the service was "quick".So good we re-visited on another trip to Vienna a couple of weeks later.Special and easily found in the City Centre if you have a map.
Must visit when in Vienna. Traditional open sandwiches and a teeny tiny beer (you can have a bigger one, but the small ones were so refreshing and perfect size at lunchtime! A wide selection of sandwiches at €1.50 each meant we could have a decent...variety for decent money. The queue looks daunting but service is super quick and easy, so actually didn’t take long at all. Réservez une table maintenant
I went there, because it was recommended to me but I didn't get the fascination. Yeah, it ist bread with a nice spread but that's basically it. The people working there weren't all that helpful to a first time customer. If you need a snack,...I would recommend to go to Bitzinger's and get a nice sausage, that was much more satisfying in my eyes anyways.
decided to try this for lunch after a morning tour. Although in any case a local deli and away from the grippers, it was easy to order and I had 5 delicious sandwiches . The locals who waited in the queue even recommended some who were... delicious. Really recommend trying.
