It really really was hard for me not to give this restaurant 5 stars. I came in with a preconceived notion based off the reviews that this was going to be a meh restaurant but I was wrong!! I was seated fairly quickly at a booth for a party of 1. Wasn 't packed at all maybe 6 tables tops! The waiter came out and took my drink order. The Blue Aguave was really delicious and left me with. Good buzz so that 's a plus!!! I ordered the 3 enchiladas dinner made queso style and boyyyyy it did not disappoint! Typically restaurants don 't give you enough cheese but clearly that wasn 't the case here!!! The food was hot and flavorful!! The only down side was cleanliness. I had a few gnats flying around and tables just not being bussed in a timely manner. But the food was good and so was the service.
My husband and I visited this Tumbleweed for the 1st time in November of 2012. I was initially disappointed as soon as I entered the restaurant because the stench of cigarette smoke hit me immediately. We did sit in the non-smoking section, but could smell the odor of smoke during the entire meal. I also noticed smoke over on our side wafting around the a ceiling light. So apparently the smoke traveled across the room. I must say the food there was delicious. The service was super. The manager visited us and was friendly and engaging. I really would like to visit again, but will not until something is done about the smoking issue. How sad. I visit a restaurant to eat not to smell or breathe second hand smoke.
Right off expressway and the Brooks exit. Service folks all very nice, friendly, and they took care of all our needs. We had a crew with us so we started with large caso. My wife went with the miniature hamburger that came with fries. My son did the chicken wrap. My soon to be daughter in law went with Buffalo chicken strips. Now I went with the 10 sirloin Tumbleweed style it came with two sides white chili and house salad. These guys love the Military!!! It's a small restaurant but big hearted we will be back!!!
I was working in the area and decided to give this place a try, even if it has bad reviews. Now I know why it does! Service was slow, even with very few patrons in the establishment. So I decided to order a dish with chicken and they gave me beef,so I ate it anyway. The food wasn't nothing to write home about. I won't be eating here again. Very disappointed!
