Tupelo Honey Downtown Asheville

The food was on average. I had chickens and waffles. The chicken wasn't good at all. It was not seasoned and the coating was soggy. My wife had the shrimps and grits. There was so much oil in that you needed napkins to suck it up. Our waitress was excellent, she went beyond us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal (lunch) at Tupelo. We were able to sit outside and enjoyed listening to the music of a street performer as we ate. The original fried chicken was delicious, as were the fries. The wait staff and hostess were very friendly.

Great food, roasted chicken is excellent! Parking is a little difficult, took a lyft.
