We ordered the Cherry Smash cocktail, which seemed to just have one muddled cherry in it and tasted more like whiskey on the rocks than a proper whiskey smash. I also ordered a cosmopolitan, which was priced the same as the craft cocktails, but I should have asked what their well vodka is. Nevertheless, it was well-balanced and nicely made. The bacon-wrapped dates were mostly filled with more than just a few dates, but they were overall tasty. I really enjoyed the French onion soup—it was definitely a highlight. The parking lot was filled, suggesting that many others enjoy this place as much as we did. We sat at the bar and were served by Jeffrey. They offer Liberty Creek wines, which complemented our lovely dinner of prime rib, roasted potatoes, asparagus, and salad perfectly. Everything was delicious! We also had some wonderful conversations with other diners at the bar. Thank you, Jeffrey, and everyone at the Turf. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back.
I have driven by this place thousands of times. Finally gave it a try and it was excellent. Highly recommend this place for a good Prime Rib dinner. Some of the best I have ever had. We had our retirement party at Turf Tavern and I cannot say enough great things! Maria and Tom are awesome, wait staff and bartender, Matt, were wonderful all evening! During our return trip from Niagara Falls, we searched online for a restaurant and stumbled upon this gem. It turned out to be an excellent choice! The staff was wonderful, and the food was outstanding. I only wish it were closer to home. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 out of 5!
