I had high hopes for this restaurant, but the pizza fell short of my expectations. While the staff was pleasant, professional, and friendly, the pizza itself was quite disappointing. The crust lacked any distinct flavor and the overall taste was too salty for my liking. I suggest you taste a slice before committing to a whole pie. However, it’s worth noting that other diners seemed to enjoy their meals. Overall, I’d rate the food a 2, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 3. The place is comfortable and cozy, which is a plus.
We have tried most of the pizza in the area and Turiellos wins hands down. We go out of our way to get it even though it isn't the closest place to us. The guys that work there are super friendly and helpful, and the food is really great. Not only is the pizza really top notch, but we absolutely love their broccoli-spinach side, as well as their gelato (which, by the way, is the best ice cream in town). Bonus: if you call to place an order and they put you on hold, you get to listen to Pizza boy USA.
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant, enjoying some fantastic pizza and even better service from the staff and owner. After a long 92-mile bike ride from Bear Mountain to 9W, we stopped expecting just a quick meal, but this pizza proved to be exceptional. It's the genuine article, and we couldn't get enough! We'll definitely return for another bike tour. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, so be sure to show them some love!

Dropped my daughter off to college in the area. Found this place when we first visited but got to bring my whole family back. Really really good food. Their basic pep pizza is probably my favorite I've ever had. The service is great. The guys behind the counter are always super nice. Glad I randomly walked in one day. This is the best pizza in New York! If you prefer a thicker slice packed with flavor, you should definitely try the grandma or pesto slice—they are fantastic options. Everything is made in-house, including their incredible gelato. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to give this place a try!
I love visiting turiello's every weekend I leave the Bronx to go to Nyack to eat pizza and dulce de leche ice cream at Turiello's, and I mean they make the best pizzas in all of New York. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
