Provides a healthy alternative take away option to the usual pizza, burgers, fish and chips. At least, good lean meats and salads do, obviously the pride themselves are probably no more or less healthy than those other alternatives. The Banquet for two serves up a mountain of food (or at least a very large box full) lean, juicy lamb and chicken kebabs with rice and salad, flafel and zucchini balls. Plus enough turkish bread and dips for lunch the next day and pide for dinner the following night... and more. Small restaurant for dining in but takeaway is always good and an extra $5 gets you home delivery.
A great example of a Canberra business - plies its trade indifferent to its clientele, with little love or authenticity in their offerings, knowing that the lack of alternatives means that locals will keep coming back. Generous serves somewhat compensate for their total disinterest in you or their food, particularly when it comes to the kebabs, but the well-priced pides are often lacking in actual fillings despite their large size. Staff seem to argue among themselves often. But, since it's my local joint, I'll have no choice but to head there again soon!
I ordered a $14 snack pack for lunch with rice (or fries), salad, various sauces, and a generous portion of meat. It was enough for two people. The food was delicious, I had a combination of lamb and chicken with garlic and satay sauces. The kebab rolls are a popular choice and they are very filling, requiring two hands to eat. The service was fast and the food was tasty. I have been back several times.
I was pleasantly surprised by how crowded this restaurant was, but after tasting the incredible food at such affordable prices, I can see why! My kebab was so large that it could have easily fed two people. I will definitely be coming back!

Came here to try the Halal Snack Pack. Ordered a large and it came quickly with plenty of meat, chips and the holy trinity of sauces as required by a HSP. Would come back again and try the Kebab's.
Good place for dine in or take away, turkish bread, pide and also grilled kebabs are all best value of money. Recommended for take away and dinner/ lunch for busy weekdays
3 friends shared the banquet for 2 people. We had two evening meals from the banquet and there was still food left over.
