Tuscan Tavern - Réserver une table

Where have I been in the last 4 years? This jewel of a restaurant is less than 3 minutes away from my home. They would never guess from outside how big and elegant this restaurant is. Not from a part of the imagination you can say this is typical of Oswego. We have most big franchise restaurants within 5-10 minutes on Rt. 34 or Orchard Rd. We even have a few family restaurants that have been good for decades. With today's farm to table trend, this is only the third restaurant I have come to have fresh ingredients, creative menu and great presentation. We ordered appetizers and supplements. They fell in love with the mushrooms... they are fabulous! All the dishes we had were far above average...

It's hard to really evaluate this place. My family enjoyed Tuscan tavern. Our server was polite and looked at our needs. All he said about the food and everything on the menu seemed great. We started with two appetizers from Shrimp and Oysters. They were shrimps and oysters each served on a french french french frying bed with a dipping sauce. The shrimp bread seemed like they were frozen out of a box, but the shrimps themselves were freshly tasting, very strange. The diving sauce seemed like a tasteful ketchup. We had a wonderful meal and experience in the Tuscan tavern. I asked for a group of 25 days before our dinner. The owner of the restaurant gave us a fantastic meal. He was very accommodating and easy to work. The various courses of our (each course included several dishes) were served in family style to ensure excellent and contemporary service. The staff was attentive to various nutritional restrictions (vegan, gluten-free, etc) and there were many possibilities for everyone. The restaurant is amazing! There are fresh roses at every table. The atmosphere is not so quiet that you can't have fun entertainment, but it's not almost as loud as T.G.I. Friday or so. The food portions were definitely worth the price and the wine selection was incredible. My only question was with the service. We only saw our waitress twice. When she took our food order and when she took the check. It's hard to tip someone if they didn't bring the drinks, bring the food or make our dishes clear. If we had problems in between, it was up to us to solve them. I would definitely recommend the Tuscan tavern for a nice dinner.

Let me start by saying the food is totally amazing. The reason that I didn't give 5 full stars is that the wait here can be obnoxious. We went on a Wednesday evening, it wasn't busy. It took almost an hour to just get bread. Which if your not in a rush that is okay, but I have 2 small kids. We ordered our meals at 6:30pm and didn't get our meal till 8:30pm. Seemed crazy. They did make it right by not charging for a ton of beer and our soups. We have gone a few times with and without kids, like I said the food is well worth the wait!
