Quirky dinner, good menu, great food and service but could use a good cleaning person to take care of the bigger cleaning jobs that are left up to waitresses that are already doing so much and honestly from a customer's perspective I don't want my food server scrubbing floors and toilets in-between serving my table! All food resteraunts should have a specific scheduled person per shift for cleaning purposes that do not touch anything going out to tables period! Just my opinion though. Food servers should not be janitors too! They don't get paid enough to do all that is asked of them.
After a series of 5 star gourmet meals, were looking for a good quality breakfast that wasn’t a chain. We didn’t want fancy with sauces or crab, we wanted breakfast basics with loads of choices, but had to be really good. So happy to have found Twig and Leaf! A neighborhood institution, with great food. Rae, the new owner, is friendly and made sure we enjoyed our food and kept our coffee mugs full. We will be back next time we are in town!
Granted breakfast is my least favorite meal of the day, when I do want breakfast and don't feel like cooking, this place is my go-to! This is a small diner with good food and friendly staff. As long as you aren't expecting some kind of world-class meal or gimmicky menu, you shouldn't be disappointed with the Twig and Leaf experience. Even when I order delivery I've never had any issues.
Love it. This was my boyfriends first time coming to Twig and Leaf. He lives less than a mile from here and has never been to T&L. I told him I was definitely taking him to the Twig and Leaf TODAY!!! It is a staple of the Highlands. Food was awesome as always. Service was great. New owners are wonderful. Love my Twig and Leaf.

I grew up in Louisville, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven by this place. I finally stopped in today for breakfast. If you want fancy, this place isn’t for you. If you want an old school diner breakfast where you get good food, and your money’s worth, with non-stop coffee, this is it.
Exactly what I was looking for a good old fashioned breakfast diner. Service was great, breakfast was excellent both days. The omelet was loaded, bacon perfectly cooked, milk was ice cold, and the coffee magically never emptied. Price was extremely reasonable. Highly recommend.
LOVE this old school diner that doesn 't try to be retro like some of these annoying new places. This place is the REAL deal. The food is always great, but the best part is the super friendly staff who always make everyone feel welcome.
The service was excellent here. I loved my country fried steak with the home fries, over easy eggs, and English muffin. My husband really loved the cheeseburger. Such a neat old school diner.

Food is really good and really no wait at all except the fact that they do cook it as you order so just the wait till it's done. Also friendly service but it's a very small eating area.
The best French Toast.. Must be included in your bucketlist of must try in Louisville..
